Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rakhshanda Tribal Belly dance is a tribal fusion belly dance troupe that provides a unique visual experience, transporting the viewer into the ambiance of the Middle East and oft times beyond. We are currently the only troupe in Wisconsin with a member, Amanda, holding a Gypsy Caravan Teacher Certification. Our major influences are Gypsy Caravan Style, American Tribal Style, Rajasthani, Bharatanatyam, Bhangra, and Gitano (in which Amanda and Leize are certified). We incorporate sword, poi, and fans in our performances, and sometimes these are aflame! Our newest tricks are fire-eating (by Leize), choreographed stage combat and weapons play which falls in direct line with our love of all things pirate!
